SD 10 Year History of Super Dollfie

“The Ten Year History of Super Dollfie: 2007”

It was a time when it had become natural for Super Dollfie to live within everyone's hearts and minds - that was how 2007 began.
I wonder what sort of happiness Super Dollfie would bring us this year?

February 22nd. The information had been made public in the autumn of the year before, and at last we were holding the event itself that had created such a sensation amidst SD Owners - the 'SD Owners Appreciation Fair in Haus Ten Bosch and Hotel Europe'.
It was the first hotel stay event organized by Volks, and even more than the owners, there were plenty of parts of the event that were still unknown to the staff.
And as our first event in Kyushu for quite some time, it was also incredibly popular with our Kyushu customers. Our Fukuoka Showroom was still being prepared and had been for quite some time, and yet in spite of that our Kyushu customers had waited patiently for us - we felt this very strongly and were deeply grateful for it.
And of course as it was a travel event, there were also a great many customers who came from as far as Hokkaido in the north, or who crossed the border from Korea to take part.
As you may well know, Haus Ten Bosch is a theme park that is a recreation of a Dutch townscape. It was an environment that perfectly matched the ambience of Super Dollfie, and every location inside the park became a place to take photos. Hotel Europe had the most high class, refined image of all, and delighted our many Owners.
For the Limited SD, MSD Girl 'Toppi' made her debut, out for a stroll in a Dutch forest, looking absolutely adorable as she met with Owners.

Our first hotel stay event wiped away all that unease about the unknown, and ended a truly wonderful event. Even after the event was over, we received countless requests from Owners all around the country, begging us "please hold another event like this!" Volks had made the suggestion, and Owners had taken part with us. In that moment we were able to create just that kind of wonderful cycle, all anew.

On the 17th of the following month, we held the now-established 'Tenshi-no-Sato 3rd Anniversary Fair'.

This time those that descended to Tenshi-no-Sato were SD Seirei 'Yugiri' and Yo-Tenshi 'Mamu'. Surely there were countless Owners who felt such love for their tender look, as they smiled sweetly amidst the spring sunbeams.
And then there were our angels who had already been available to be welcomed home by Owners as standard models at Tenshi-no-Sato; at the same time, they descended before everyone in a brand new guise.

The next day we held 'Home Town Dolpa Osaka 3'.
It was the debut of SD Girl 'Luna', born of a collaboration with popular brand 'BABY, THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT', as well as the precocious MSD Girl ' Nagisa In PreSchool', and the best friend brother and sister pair, YoSD 'Papi' and 'Puff'.
Together with the coming of spring they delivered new encounters to Owners.

And then in Golden Week in May, it was time for 'Dolls Party 17'.
Yet again it heralded the arrival of another new protagonist who created a sensation in the Super Dollfie world. His name was Super Dollfie 17 Boy 'Reisner ~The Shadow of Captain~'! This beautiful youth was Captain Cecile's shadow, who shared his burden - that fate pledged on silver coins.
His existence caused a huge impact on the SD world, to the point where there are countless SD Owners who came to know of Super Dollfie purely because of his arrival.
And SD Girls 'Suiseiseki' and 'Souseiseki' made their appearance from the world of 'Rozen Maiden'. It was also the debut of SD Cute Girl 'Kaede Sweet Dream Version', and for the YoSD, the adorable moss spirits, 'Shinn' and 'Lin'.

What with the appearance of this unknown SD17 Boy, and another long-awaited debut in the Rozen Maiden series, Dolpa 17 was an event completely enveloped in excitement and enthusiasm.

In the following month of June, we held 'Dolls Party in N.Y. City 2 2007', in answer to the fervent requests of our American Owners. Just like last time, this was a collaborative event with 'Fashion Doll Quarterly' (FDQ). This was an event that Volks felt very strong sentiments about, more so than usual. Those were our sentiments for Sara, an Owner in America who had adored Super Dollfie from the bottom of her heart.

We first came to meet with Sara all because of a volunteer organization called 'Make-A-Wish'. 'Make-A-Wish' is an organization that aims to grant the wishes of children who are battling with incurable illnesses.
Sara had made a wish to the 'Make-A-Wish' foundation. And that wish was, 'I want to go to Tenshi-no-Sato, to the place where Super Dollfie are born'. That wish produced the miracle of our encounter with Sara. Sara - who wanted to have her wish of 'I want to go to Tenshi-no-Sato' granted, even at the risk of threat to her life. More than our own angels, Sara herself was like an angel to us.
And this year, still at such a young age, Sara had begun her journey up to heaven. This event, held so soon after that had happened, also held the significance of being a memorial to Sara.
And this was not just limited to the Volks staff; these were sentiments felt by all American Owners. On this day we held a special auction where Sara's favorite Toppi made her appearance, causing quite a reaction at the event. During the auction there were countless attendees who shed tears, thinking of Sara, and once again we came to truly understand the kindness of our American Owners.
Also making her appearance as the Limited SD was SD Girl 'Masha'. Masha, too, was a debut that many owners had long since longed for.
In these ways 'Dolls Party in N.Y. City 2 2007' was once again a strong success.
