SD 10 Year History of Super Dollfie

“The Ten Year History of Super Dollfie: 2006”

On July 29th, we held 'Dolls Party in N.Y. City 2006', our first collaborative event with 'Fashion Doll Quarterly' (FDQ), a leading magazine in the American Fashion Doll world. It was there that our first SD16 Girl made her debut. Yes, it was the appearance of Miss 'Olivia Morgan'.

What with the holding of this event, and the publication of FDQ's special issue 'FDQ Summer 2006 Special Edition' - with Olivia Morgan adorning the cover as a commemoration of her release - we were truly gathering momentum in the American doll world.
And the introduction of the SD16 girl, who boasted an even more refined style, meant that yet another new tale was beginning to be spun in the Super Dollfie world. This SD16 girl, not only lovely and dignified, but who also seemed almost like an unobtainable dream, became the envy of Owners everywhere.

The following month, on August 5th, we held the 'Tea Party in LA at VOLKS Mansion', and were able to come in direct contact with our American Owners, whom we do not get a chance to see very often. It was a truly delightful tea party, where we came to realize that even if you are born and raised in an entirely different country, you can still love the same things.
The following day, we held the 'Tenshi-no-Sumika in LA Fair', and the 'Tenshi-no-Sumika Full Choice System 2006 USA Version' made its start, ahead of Japan. Even if we receive the order at the far reaches of the earth, Super Dollfie are still born in Kyoto. Looking at the smiling faces of Owners, we came to understand that the feeling that this was a matter of course was a miracle that we, Volks, had unwittingly achieved.

In the same month, we held 'Home Town Dolpa Nagoya 3' on the 20th, and 'Home Town Dolpa in Makuhari Messe' on the 27th.
Our Limited SD, sparkling brightly in the rays of the summer sun, were SD13 Boy 'Show Sweet Dream Version', SD Girls 'Kira Sweet Dream Version' and 'Nana Sweet Dream Version', and YoSD Girl 'Chinatsu' and Boy 'Kuuta'.
These two summer Dolpas, held within the same month, were engulfed in an enthusiasm so strong it completely blew away the fatigue-inducing summer heat wave.

And then the 'Tenshi-no-Sumika Full Choice System 2006 Japan Version' started on September 23rd. Different yet again from the previous USA version, this renewal - aimed at Japanese Owners - gained great popularity, becoming the next evolution of FCS.

From October 7th to 9th we held the already well-established 'Angels Descending Autumn 2006' event, and Yo-Tenshi 'Yuh' debuted, together with 'Kasumi', the adorable angel who had previously debuted in spring.
The 'Tenshi-no-Sato Full Choice System 2006' also started at the same time.

And then on the 22nd, we held the 'SD Owners Appreciation Fair Kobe Bay Cruising' event.
After the huge success that we had achieved with the previous year's Cruise held in Tokyo Bay, we'd received countless requests from customers in the Kansai area begging us to hold a Cruise in Kansai as well. In response to such ardent requests, we were able to hold the event on an even bigger cruise ship in Kobe!
And the debuting SD13 Boy, 'Cecile The ScarFACE The Ocean of Deep Black Version', captivated Owners with his wild charm.

Then on December 24th, Christmas Eve, we held 'Dolls Party 16'.
And there, 'Journey To Dream Nights' opened a new door. Weaving together the fates of 'Amelia', the first SD16 Girl to debut in Japan, and SD Cute Boy 'Kurt', the personification of a frog, this bedtime story was not only fairytale-like but also somehow nostalgic and inspiring all at once.
And eagerly awaited by a great many fans, SD13 Boy 'Williams' from 'Oath of Silver Coin' at last made his appearance, his gaze piercing straight through the heart of countless female Owners. SD Girl 'Kurumi' also made her entrance as a part of 'Harajuku Memories'. Born from a collaboration with popular brand h.NAOTO, she enlivened the Dolpa with her wonderful outfit and adorable expression.
For the YoSD, our sweet little Girl 'Anne' and Boy 'Piccolo' made their 'Sweet Dream Version' debut. They were able to spend a lovely time together with their owners, just right for this sacred day.

Super Dollfie: angels that had descended like some kind of miracle. By this time, it was finally beginning to be recognized that it seemed only natural for them to be there. And that in itself was a truly blissful evolution.

What kind of blessings paid a visit to this world in the following year of 2007? That's something to look forward to next time!

* “Fashion Doll Quarterly

If you're an American doll fan, surely you know FDQ! And it's said that even in Japan there are a great many people with subscriptions.

* “Our first SD16 Girl

even in Japan the number of SD16 Girls Owners is steadily increasing. That stylishness is incredibly popular in America as well.

* “Kurumi

we still receive countless requests for SD Girl 'Kurumi'. By the way, she's also the older sister of a 'sweet' young girl. I wonder what kind of expression she shows at home?
