“The Ten Year History of Super Dollfie: 2005”
And in the following month, on September 25th, we planned our very first event held on the ocean. It was the new but already memorable 'SD Owners Appreciation Fair Tokyo Bay Cruising' event.
The Limited SD selected for this event was SD13 Boy 'Cecile the ScarFACE', already well-deserving of the name 'Captain'. It was the perfect event for Captain Cecile, he who traversed around the deep oceans of the world.

This experiment of a 'ScarFACE' was a challenge even for Volks. To carve such painful injuries into our SD's skin, that normally boasted such beauty - of course we hesitated.
However for Cecile, he had a story, in which his body was thusly burdened. The decision was perhaps nothing more than the result of what this story had aroused in us. But in fact, the Cruise was a resounding success right to the end, so much so that fans began to embrace their hopes for the following Cruise the very moment it was over.
That year, on November 19th, we held an opening reception at 'VOLKS Mansion' in Los Angeles, America, to commemorate the establishment of 'VOLKS USA INC'. The following day, we opened 'Tenshi-no-Sumika in Los Angeles', in the Torrance district of Los Angeles, and were able to welcome our many American SD Owners.
The debuting SD this time were SD Girl 'Tae' and 'Mai', and SD13 Girl 'Shizu', coming from distant Japan to alight before American Owners. We believe that these girls, clad in Japanese style kimonos, surely brought abundant good fortune to their American Owners.

With barely a day to catch our breath, on the 22nd in Japan we held the 'Tenshi-no-Sato Angels Descending Autumn 2005' event.
It was the descent of Ko-Tenshi Yuri and Yo-Tenshi Yuki.

The debut of the Yo-Tenshi was yet another step, and a big development for the Tenshi series.
These darling, adorable and yet also somehow celestial beings gave all those who laid eyes on them a certain kind of peace of mind.
The Tenshi series that had debuted at Tenshi-no-Sato up until then had already gained popularity with Owners, but the debut of the Yo-Tenshi spurred it on just that much more. It was an opportunity for that sacred location of Tenshi-no-Sato to become even more widely known as a truly special place.
Before the elation of the Tenshi-no-Sato event had even died down, the next event was announced. It was 'Dolls Party 14 in Christmas', on December 25th, the beginning of Christmas.
Volks had tried all manner of experiments throughout the year, and those that were selected to bring 2005 to a close were SD16 Boy 'Yukinojo Sawaragi', SD13 Girl 'Emma', MSD Boy 'Hewitt 2nd Version', YoSD Girl 'Anne' and YoSD Boy 'Piccolo'.
Yukinojo, the first debut of our 'Super Dollfie 16', caused yet another huge impact on the Super Dollfie world, that had progressed up until then from SD all the way to YoSD.
His definitive presence could be held tight in one's arms in an entirely different way to the YoSD who smiled in the palms of one's hands; he delivered a new kind of happiness to many Owners.
This was also the time that we announced 'Shinku', an official doll for the TBS anime 'Rozen Maiden'. Just as if she had slipped out of the Rozen Maiden world, her image unchanged, Shinku led many people into our world who had until then not known of SD at all.
2005 was a truly substantial year in the world of Super Dollfie.
The growth and happiness that this year brought about even now continues to be a mainstay to Super Dollfie.
"I wonder what kind of event will be welcoming us next?"
Receiving such expectations from Owners, 2006 - and Super Dollfie - brought us still more happiness.
Please look forward to that story next time!
