Kasai Rinkai Gardens
This nature park on the coastline is a well-known location that is hidden on the outskirts of Tokyo, just a short way from the heart of the city. There is plenty of nature, and throughout the year, there are many flowers and plants to be enjoyed. This site, abundant with lush greenery, faces onto Tokyo Bay, allowing you to gaze out over the ocean from amidst the trees, or play by the seaside, should you wish.
As it covers quite a wide area, you can easily enjoy the whole day there. It can give you a sensation of having lost yourself in a place somewhat separated from the everyday, so for those who would like to lose themselves in a different dimension with their SD, I definitely recommend it.
The gardens are well taken care of, so there’s no problem with heading out for a walk or a picnic, and then stopping to rest and have a drink in the shade of a tree when you find yourself getting tired. There are wooden benches set up all over the place, so you can find a place that suits you and then relax there as you like.
Or you could definitely take your own leisure seats with your own preferred design!
My personal recommendation would be to follow the path directly ahead from the front entrance until you reach the end, where you will find a slight slope that leads on into the sea, and the so-called “Observation Square” and “Early Morning Breeze Square”.
Looking out over the surrounding greenery, and the deep blue sea and sky on a clear day leaves one feeling incredibly peaceful.
From late autumn until early spring, the breeze can be quite chilly, but from spring until late summer, and even into the beginning of autumn, it’s a very relaxing place to be.
When it comes to the other amenities, I recommend the Ferris Wheel, that was until just recently the largest in the world at 117 meters.
Aside from that, there’s also the attractively designed “Kasai Rinkai Garden Aquarium”, so there’s lots of ways to enjoy yourself. If you get hungry there’s even a food court.
There’s also a water-bus run regularly, so if you want to pass your time relaxing on the ocean, no problem!
Please take a trip there sometime with your beloved SD, your close friends, or your family.
But please promise me that when you return, you’ll be sure to come and pay us a visit at Tenshi no Sumika Ginza!

It’s not particularly a dangerous place at all, but nonetheless, please be sure to watch your step when walking around!
Also please take care not to cause any damage to the flowers or other plants.
And when you’re taking photos, don’t forget to keep in mind the people around you.
