Our favorite place is the gardens at Tenshi no Sato.
It is a wonderful place, so peaceful that it makes you forget that you’re in the middle of Kyoto city, with a changing expression for each of the different seasons, and no matter how many times you visit you discover something new.

This photo was taken at the recent Sato 4th Anniversary Fair.
With the plum tree near the café as a setting, this is my daughter, completely absorbed in the gentle early spring sunlight and the sublime scent of the plums.
