It’s been five years since I first heard about SD. Last year I was finally able to get my own.
The photos are from when I took the dolls with me to Hokkaido in the winter.
They’re on the apartment verandah that was my late mother’s favourite.
Usually no-one lives here, so the verandah was completely buried in snow, built up to a truly magnificent mountain of snow, so I made everyone go out and play in it.
It’s a bit difficult to see, but there were quite large snowflakes falling, so the two bigger kids are playing at being from the tv drama Winter Sonata.
The next day it changed completely to be fine weather, so I was able to take quite refreshing photos in the mountains of snow.
